Collective Sheet Mask Review

The summer heat is here, and so is Wahzines very first K-beauty review! I, Sofia, have tested three types of sheet masks from two different brands. In hope of finding some options for cooling down during these hot months, I was excited to try these masks from Aromatica and The Lotus by Peach & Lily. Read the full review of these products below!

The Lotus Moisturization & Wrinkle Treatment by Peach & Lily

This anti-aging sheet mask contains antioxidant green tea, a variety of herbal and floral extracts which provides nourishment and moisture.

My experience: The luxurious packaging does not disappoint, neither does the very mild lotus scent of this product. The skin feels supple even the day after usage. I noticed a slight plumping effect, as well as that ”Glass skin” type of glow from being moisturized. This mask is recommended for mature skin and the scent is barely noticeable yet pleasant. If you are sensitive to smells this mask might be a great alternative to consider.  This mask gets 4/5 stars from me.

Price: Check out Peach & Lily’s official website for accurate pricing, the price may vary with retailers.

How to use:

  • Cleanse and apply toner to your face and neck.
  • Open the packaging and make sure the sheet mask is soaked evenly in the liquid, then apply the mask to the face.
  • Remove the mask after 20 minutes, pat in any extra essence and follow up with day or night cream.

Calendula Soothing Relief Mask by Aromatica

This organic sheet mask with 85.84% calendula extract helps to calm sun-damaged skin, while olive leaf ferment extract and bifida ferment extract nourish sensitive skin.

My experience: This sheet mask is easy to use, and perfect to bring when traveling. It has a cooling effect which is perfect for summer or long flights. There is no tingly sensation, or any kind of discomfort since the formula is very mild. The fragrance is very light and fresh, like a summer breeze with a hint of flowers. This mask feels refreshing not only to your face, but also your sense of smell. As the name of this product suggests, it soothes irritated or blemished skin. Which makes it perfect to put on if you have blemishes, or had a long day in the sun. Those blemishes feel less protruding and the skin feels hydrated and calm. To summarize, this mask is a great way to tackle irritated skin during the summer. For an extra hot day you can throw the mask in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, and enjoy the refreshingly cool feeling while relaxing. This mask gets 5/5 stars from me.

Sea Daffodil Hydro Charge Mask by Aromatica

An organic sheet mask with sea daffodil extract enhances moisture while ceramide, olive leaf ferment extract and bifida ferment extract help maintain the moisture balance of dry skin.

My experience: This sheet mask is easy to use just like the Calendula Soothing Relief Mask, however this product is more focused on hydration. The fragrance is also light and pleasant, with a slight but fresh sea smell. Compared to the Calendula mask, the Sea Daffodil mask feels more hydrating, which makes it perfect for those with dry skin. During the colder months of the year this mask will be of great help quench the thirst for moisture. This mask gets 4,5/5 stars from me.

Price: Check out Aromatica’s official website for accurate pricing, the price may vary with retailers.

How to use Aromatica’s sheet masks:

  • After cleansing, even out skin texture with toner. For an extra hot day you can throw the mask in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before use.
  • Open the pouch and apply the mask on your face adjusting around eyes and mouth.
  • Remove the mask after 15 minutes and gently pat remaining essence into the face and neck area until fully absorbed. Finish off with your day or night cream to capsule in the moisture.
